FALL FUN FACTS 2015

Fall has descended upon us FINS-amigos But, DID YOU KNOW! that the pumpkin was first named by the Greeks. They called this edible orange item “pepon,” which means “large melon.” DID YOU KNOW! tree leaves get their green color from chlorophyll, but, as the days shorten and the sun weakens so does the chlorophyll allowing the other color pigments that naturally reside in the leaves to show through like, orange and yellow. Red and Purple leaves, however, are caused by the presence of tree sap trapped inside the leaves. Mahalo! P.S. FINS Brick with be moving down Rt. 88 into Point Pleasant come March 2016!
