relaxing Independence Day WEEKEND!
On July 4th, 1776
The United States adopted the Declaration of Independence,
drafted by Thomas Jefferson.
However, John Adams always thought celebrations should take place on July 2nd, the day it was voted in by the Continental Congress, so he never showed up to the festivities on the 4th.
It is thought that, as early as 200 A.D., the Chinese had already stumbled upon a sort of natural firecracker: They would roast bamboo, which explodes with a bang when heated due to its hollow air pockets, in order to ward off evil spirits.
By 600-900 A.D. the Chinese created an early form of gunpowder to stuff the bamboo, with paper tubes following shortly after.
In 1777, the Second Continental Congress passed the Flag Resolutions which stated, “That the flag of the thirteen United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation.”
So, raise your flags, raise your glasses, and enjoy the fireworks and FINS on the beach to commemorate a great day in our nations history!

Each surfer in the contest is worth a certain value.
Create a team of surfers you think will do the best at each of the different waves on tour.
Each surfers’ value may change throughout the season based on their performance, however, the cost to you won’t change as long as they remain on your team.

create different team for each contest,
or keep a core team and make small adjustments (suggested strategy)
